__ Morning, I mentioned I would post a free pattern today. This is not the first pattern I have designed, but the first to be posted! I'll share more patterns as I get them written up; right now they are in notes on scratch paper. Please do let me know if you have any questions or found mistakes. Go easy on me now. You can leave a comment, email me (look over to top right for email button) or use the Contact page. I will reply as soon as possible. I have also provided a PDF of the pattern below so you can download. Easy Reversible Boot Cuffs Materials: L Hook Yarn: Medium 4 Worsted Weight; 2 Skeins in two colors or solids (I used Red Heart Classic, Soft Navy and Frosty Green) Yarn Needle Scissors Work with two strands of yarn. Do not turn at beginning of each row. Gauge does not matter in this pattern. Do keep your tension consistent throughout. You can decrease the beginning chain by 2 chains for smaller calves. Or chain and measure around the calf intended for the cuffs. Count your chains and make a note. Stitches: Ch - Chain FPDC - Front Post Double Crochet HDC - Half Double Crochet RSC – Reverse Single Crochet SL ST – Slip Stitch Make 2 Beginning at bottom edge: Chain 34, join with a sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist chain. Row 1: Ch 2, HDC in each chain around. Join to top of ch 2 with a sl st. Do not turn. Row 2: Repeat Row 1. Row 3: Ch 3, FPDC around each HDC in previous row. Moogly has an excellent tutorial for the front post and back post stitch on her blog. Click here to review it. Row 4 & 5: Repeat Row 1. Row 6: Repeat Row 3. Row 7: Repeat Row 1 Row 8: Ch 1, RSC in each stitch around. Instead of crocheting to the left as you were, you will sc backwards towards the right. Insert hook in stitch to right of hook. (Opposite for left handed) I have included a slide show for instructions. See below. Sl st to ch 1. Fasten off, weave in tails. A tutorial for The Invisible Fasten Off by Stitch Story Wala! You’re done. Easy Peasy. On one side the cuffs are smooth, other side they are textured. Wear either way. Don't forget to bookmark this post.
Please: Do not resell the pattern, altered or in its original form. Do not copy and paste the pattern onto your own blog, in a Facebook group, or anywhere else. Simply link to this page instead. You may copy and paste in a word doc to print for personal use. You are welcome to use one photo from this post as long as a link for this post accompanies the photo. Do not have any part of the pattern included. Feel free to sell your creations from this pattern, but please do give credit to me by mentioning my blog or this post. Thank you and keep crafting!
